Skate Rising Phoenix
In 2017 I started the Phoenix Chapter of Skate Rising with the support of Exposure Skate and 91 West Skate Park. Skate Rising is a free youth program for girls teaching compassion through service and empowerment through skateboarding that was started in Encinitas.
This was a passion project for me in support of my then 5-year-old daughter’s love of skateboarding and my desire to teach her the importance of supporting other girls and those in need.
The program ran for one year thanks to generous volunteers, our local skate park and many sponsors.
